Our Beautiful Home lies on the road between Milan and Pavia.
We purchased this early twentieth century building at the start of the 1980s, to be the home of our publishing house, la Torchio de’ Ricci, specialising in books on art, culture, gastronomy and tourism. The result of the renovation work, done with loving care, was the Alveare Azzurro (Blue House): travelling along the main road it is impossible not to notice it, juxtaposed with the industrial grandeur of the Molini Certosa building.
The interior has been enriched with many details that recall the homes of Lombardy country folk of the early 1900s. Today, the publishing house is no more, but the Alveare Azzurro still conserves traces of it: books of all kinds, which once made up the company library, are available to be browsed through and enjoyed by our guests. We have created two comfortable suites, one on each floor.
On the Ground Floor there is a suite consisting of spacious bedroom with two single beds, an adjoining living area and bathroom. Also on the ground floor there is a common room, where breakfast can be served and which is also ideal for working, meeting clients, and holding small conferences and business meetings.
On the First Floor there is the second suite. This consists of a large double room (with double bed and single bed), fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and dining room (use of the latter is optional). These are light and comfortable rooms, perfect for those passing through, but also for anyone who, needing or wishing to stay longer, prefers the freedom of an apartment.
The owners live close by and the building is entirely at your disposal.
